Hello lovely readers,
I hope that you are staying well and feeling the slight shifts towards autumn in the air. We are experiencing incredibly cool, low humidity, PERFECT weather here in central Virginia and I’m trying to soak up every moment of it before it races back up into the 90’s next week. Even if it is a tease, it’s a good reminder that change is coming and eventually we will be fully planted in cooler temps. Soaking up the August sunshine as long as we can.
I wanted to share a few things! I won’t be sharing a mini painting here this week, or next, because I am going to the beach! A much needed end of summer getaway for a few days with some dear friends. While I love painting and want to prioritize it in my work weeks, some weeks are easier to do that than others. I hope you understand and can also use this as permission to give yourself some grace with self-made creative deadlines when you just feel you need a break!
I’ll be back to it soon, I promise.
Also, this past week has been slammed due to all of the orders coming in for my 2025 Calendar pre-sale!! It’s been incredible to get so many orders in such a short amount of time. I am beyond grateful. I had a really challenging shift in my work life earlier this year, and getting to create this calendar and have it so well received has felt like a real reclamation. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I’ll be doing a ton of in person fairs and markets this November and December, so if you don’t order a calendar online, you can pick one up in person! I’d love to meet you. I’ll be announcing those events in the next few months.
Just a reminder that if you are a paid subscriber, you get 15% off any order in my webshop. If you don’t see the code in previous paid-subscriber posts, please send me a message and I’ll get it to you!
You also get first dibs on purchasing my original mini paintings as they normally come out week to week. As of the time that I am writing this, the most recent Ruby Moon Hibiscus Beans painting is still available!
Thank you all for being here. I am so grateful to connect through art, food, plants, and the thing that encapsulates all of it: Beauty.
I hope you can step away from your screen and enjoy some sunshine today.
Molly xx
