I love the way you describe obeserving your subjects and the process of falling in love with them. I feel like I fell in love with you while reading your words!
Ive been wanting to try Rancho Gordo beans AND read Braiding Sweetgrass. Thanks for reminding me of them.
Love that episode of Homecooking by the way! I actually found out about your work through the show. I am so looking forward to reading more of your posts.
such a kind message Shannon. Thank you for the sweet words. I'm so glad you are going to try rancho gordo out! You'll never go back! ;) And Braiding sweetgrass has been so wonderful I haven't wanted it to end. All the best to you on this first day of spring.
thank YOU for yours! Definitely want to try and get my hands on some of those magic beans. I have actually since learned of a local farm here in San Diego that grows heirloom beans- Rio Del Rey Heirloom Farms. Thanks for sparking my interest in heirloom beans!
Can't wait to give that book a read.
I hope you've enjoyed the start of this beautiful spring! Some of my dearest friends live in Richmond and they said its been gorgeous.
I love my mini beans in my kitchen. My next painting is a continuation of exploring movements in watercolor and repeating patterns around the movements. Meditations in a way.
I’ve been a bean club member for years, and it never gets old. My next painting will probably be the soft shield ferns that are about to explode with spring growth here in Seattle.
lovely to wake up to a newsletter about beans :) I'm midway in a series about Tools, and another on Barns - so it's a toss up of which one will win out as next drawing, but happy either way!
Hmm…what will I create or what do I want you to create? Me: making kitchenware in the pottery studio; you: the sweet little pea pod you took a photo of a million years ago. 😂
I’m a HUGE RG bean fan and Bean Club member! I’ve been eyeing your beautiful bean watercolor print and now I must have it...thank you, in advance, for the sale code. You’ll see my order on 3/1! 🫘
I want to paint everything we just ate at Disneyland! 😂
